Tungsten Winch Review
1. Tungsten4x4 T12000S 12000 lbs Winch Review
Features- 12,000 lbs pulling capacity
- 6.5 hp motor
- 73 ft synthetic rope
- 265:1 gear ratio
Tungsten 4×4 is a highly capable winch with 12000 lbs pulling capacity. It features a powerful 6.5 horsepower motor for smooth and efficient operation and a three-stage planetary gear system.
The winch comes with 73ft synthetic rope with a hawse fairlead. Although you can swap it with cable by yourself if you aren’t a fan of synthetic ropes. But I would not recommend it. The automatic braking locks the rope to prevent from spooling and allows for a very smooth free spooling. It’s very durable, comes at an affordable price and can also be used in light industrial applications.
The winch is dust and water resistant. As this winch is IP68 rated. So, you can rely on it in any weather conditions. It has a separate control box that allows for easy access. Lastly, this winch comes with both wired and wireless remote control for convenient and safer winching operation
Pros
- 12,000 lbs pulling capacity
- Both wired and wireless remote
- Water and dust resistant
- Easy to install
- Long lasting battery
- Ribbed sink allows the motor to cool faster
Cons
- low geared and takes some time to shut down

The second winch we will review is another one of the Tungsten4x4 winch with massive pulling power. This winch comes with 9500 lbs pulling capacity which can do more than good enough job of pulling a heavy duty vehicle out of any sticky situation.
Powerful 5.5 horsepower motor along with three stage planetary gear allows for a smooth operation. Besides, 85 feet long synthetic rope that comes with this winch has a wicked long range and hawse fairlead that allows smooth angles without weighing it down.
Similar to the previous winch I reviewed, this one also comes with only synthetic rope but can be swapped with steel cable if you want to. It has a separate control box that can be mounted somewhere else. It also offers both wired and wireless remote control.
The winch claims to have IP67 rating dust and water resistance which is suitable for the rough environment but be careful not to use pressure wash though as the water might sneak past the seal.
Overall, Tungsten4x4 T9500s is an excellent winch that gets the job done and comes at a reasonable price.

The last winch we will be reviewing today is Tungsten4x4 T3000 winch specially designed for ATV/UTV. It has 3000 lbs pulling capacity which can easily get a moderate-sized vehicle out of sticky situations. This winch runs on a 1.4 horsepower motor featuring a free spooling clutch. It is similar to the previous T4000S winch we mentioned.
But unlike its counterpart, this winch has 49.2 feet long braided steel cable and roller fairlead instead of a synthetic rope and hawse fairlead. This means the winch is considerably heavier and more durable, but you have to be cautious while using it.
