Here, the fuel type you use makes a difference in carrying loads. For example, diesel engines produce 8x more power than gas. The third generation 3L eco diesel version 6 engine can pull up to 12000 pounds if you use a fifth wheel.

The jeeps within 2000 pound capacity are the Jeep Wrangler JL and jeep wrangler JL unlimited. The models vary from 2010 to 2018. The 2019 jeep wrangler capacity increased with manufacturer towing setup up to 3500 pounds. If you are buying a jeep mostly for towing uses, you can go for the UNLIMITED version. The latest models have two variations, and the extreme is the UL version.

But if you want to try with a two-door, you may need some modification with engine fuel and axle.

Another thing you need to choose wisely that the campers you install. Heavy campers need to be reconsidered after following every criterion told before. The jeep wrangler size and campers size is a matter. The more enormous load at the back will drag more air to stop and create a drawback opposing force to your vehicle. So, calculate all the maths and models with engine fuels also at the last. If you pull a bigger size load within the weight limits, then you will not get the desired result.
